Welcome to the Takacat family! Please complete the Warranty Registration form to register your Takacat's warranty within 30 days of purchase
PVC & Hypalon fabrics are warranted for three (3) years against defects and deterioration that affect usability in the form of aging, cracking or delamination.
Air chamber seams are warranted for three (3) years against defects and deterioration that affect usability in the form of aging, cracking or delamination.
Air deck floors - Material and seams are warranted for three (3) years against defects and deterioration that affect usability in the form of aging, cracking or delamination.
Parts and equipment, including carry handle, D-ring, seat, oars will be free from defects in material and structure for a period of three (3) years from date of purchase.
Under no circumstances will Takacat North America be responsible for incidental or consequential damages in connection with the use of a Takacat products.
Limited liability claims relating in any way to the sale or use of Takacats, parts and or accessories must not in any case exceed the purchase price of the product to such a claim relates.
This warranty is not transferable and a proof of purchase must be supplied at time of claim.
The following are non-exhaustive list of actions that may void the warranty:
- Use of power greater than max HP at HIN plate.
- Overloading.
- Misuse; abuse or neglect, including but not limited to: improper docking, towing, driving, packing, transport or storage.
- Rental or commercial usage.
- Collision, improper transportation, puncture, tears, abrasions, theft, fire, etc.
- Changes and/or modifications to the original product.
- Damage, such as corrosion of metal parts due to lack of maintenance, or premature wear due to improper assembly or disassembly.
- Purchase of a demo or used boat.
- Consequential damages.
- Racing.
- Sticky hull skin due to lack of UV exposure protection.
Takacat North America or its authorized representative will repair, or at its discretion, replace any of the shortcomings described above under the respective warranty periods.
In the event of a claim, you must report the defect in writing or by email to Takacat North America, include the model number, hull identification number, dealer name and a proof-of-purchase with date of purchase, your contact details and information about what the error or defect is.
Pictures of the affected area are also needed to assess the course of action.
A bubble test is required to evaluate any leaking chamber claims. Without the results of this test, your warranty claim will be denied. This video shows how to perform a bubble test.
One of our representatives will contact you to make arrangements that cause as little inconvenience to you as possible.
Warranty replacement parts will only be shipped for free to the lower 48 states.
